Practicing Wonder (Even at Home)

I just got back from two incredible weeks in India for a friend’s wedding, a trip full of color, connection, and surprise. Coming home to San Francisco, I wanted to hold onto that same sense of wonder I feel when I’m traveling.
So I decided to treat SF as if I were seeing it for the first time again. It's not even been a week and I already discovered so much newness. I tried a new café I’d somehow missed before, went to watch the sunset at the beach just because I can, and then, unbelievably, a falcon landed right on my balcony (almost as magical as the elephant I saw in India). Add to that the small miracle that it’s still warm enough here to leave the house without a jacket (something that would be unthinkable in Germany in November) and I’ve found myself overflowing with gratitude.
I’m challenging myself to keep this up until at least the end of the month: to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary, and to stay awake to what’s beautiful right here.
If you want to join me, I’d love a few accountability buddies for a month of practicing gratitude and wonder.
