Our founding story

After decades in finance, our founders Bill and John knew they still had more to give—not just in capital, but in experience, connection, and perspective.

In the startup community, they discovered fertile ground. They invested in early-stage companies and soon realized that their contributions went well beyond funding: incubating ideas, connecting people across industries, providing operational insight from years within some of the biggest businesses in the world, and helping leaders be better leaders as their businesses grew. 

Not only did founders benefit, but advisors, investors, and operators found expanding their horizons rewarding, with the combination of experience and entrepreneurship creating new kinds of meaning.

‍Mosaic Vision (Movi, for short) emerged from this. Inspired by the vision of a bee, whose thousands of lenses allow it to see better, Movi today exists to bring a richness of diversity in experience, generations, and backgrounds to bear for the benefit of all.

Today, the Movi Collective is a growing community of hundreds of hand-picked professionals committed to shared personal and professional growth. Fueling early-stage innovation

After five years of helping founders through the Collective, we are launching Movi Capital to scale what is already working. We invest in pre-seed and seed stage startups building for transformational progress, with portfolio founders and teams gaining access to our network of industry experts and veteran operators.
